Ranch Versatility Clinic Challenge

JUNE 14, 2026

Hosted by Out of the Woods Horsemanship

Location: Stanley Cyclone Center

22 W Kinsell Ave, Stanley NM

Duration: 9:30-4:00

Clinicians: Patty Wilber, Liz Shough, Kendra Godinez

What is Ranch Horse Versatility? Does my horse fit?

A Good all around horse, that knows how to navigate the real world, not just the arena. A superior ranch versatility horse is often described as "useful first, pretty always". They should be calm and level-headed enough to handle obstacles, yet athletic enough to work a cow.

This clinic is for all levels, but best suited for riders who plan to show at ranch horse shows, or wish to better their Horsemanship. These tips and techniques will help your riding no matter your discipline.

Participants will have the unique opportunity to work with 3 different trainers in one day, to further your Ranch Versatility training.

3 different stations will be set up:

  • Trail with Patty Wilber (Obstacles)

  • Ranch Riding with Liz Shough (Transitions, speed control, maneuvering patterns)

  • Working the flag with Kendra Godinez (The Flag mimics working a cow, capturing your horses attention and allowing them to track it)

All participants will rotate thru the stations, throughout the day. After lunch participants will compete one by one in a pattern that includes all 3 disciplines. All 3 clinicians, will judge the exhibitors, and you get to take your score sheets home with you.

Awards will be provided:

Buckle for Top Score

Award for Reserve Top Score

Award for Most Improved
